Dr. Everett Sinnett serves as the Scientific Review Officer for CSR's Respiratory Integrative Biology and Translational Research Study Section. An SRO since 1990, he is also the CSR IMPAC II Liaison - an interface between CSR users and the IT ("IMPAC II") software developers. Dr. Sinnett followed his Ph.D. in marine biology (pulmonary blood flow in harbor seals), with postdoctoral training in respiratory mechanics at the Harvard School of Public Health. There, he helped develop an ultrafast plethysmograph for small animals. He then served as a program officer in the Division of Lung Diseases, at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, from 1980 to 1990, where responsibilities included administration of grants in gas exchange, control of breathing and respiratory mechanics. During that time, he was the project officer for a clinical trial of high frequency ventilation in premature infants. He also initiated several workshops and sponsored a request for applications on respiratory muscle fatigue.
