Dr. Jacinta Bronte-Tinkew is the Scientific Review Officer for the CSR’s Community Level Health Promotion Study Section (CLHP). She earned her Ph.D. in demography and sociology from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park. Before coming to CSR, she oversaw a portfolio of research related to the well-being of children and families, with a specific focus on low-income and minority populations and other hard to reach populations. She evaluated the efficacy of a number of community based interventions involving randomized experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation research designs. She has published extensively in the areas of parenting, child well-being and program implementation and evaluation. Her scientific articles and books have focused on the efficacy of parenting interventions on the well-being of children and families, and family influences on the well-being of children. She also served as an associate editor of a scientific journal focused on the family. |
