Dr. George Chacko serves as Chief of the Bioengineering Sciences and Technologies Integrated Review Group (IRG). Previously, he served as the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s computational biophysics Special Emphasis Panel, ZRG1 BCMB-Q(02). He also coordinated the review of other applications in the Biological Chemistry and Macromolecular Biophysics IRG. Dr. Chacko received B.V.Sc. (D.V.M. equivalent) and M.V.Sc., degrees in veterinary medicine and veterinary pathology respectively in India. He also received a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry and immunology at The Ohio State University in Columbus. Dr. Chacko underwent postdoctoral training at Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, and then joined NIH as a CRTA Fellow at the National Cancer Institute. His postdoctoral interests focused on signal transduction in lymphocytes. He joined CSR in 2001. |
